We already explained in our previous Newsletter that
an small team of EURAO members from Romania, with the financial support of a local foundation in Buzau City:
Fondul Stiintescu ,
started in April a program dedicated to the
children and young people in order to experience applied science with the help of amateur radio.
Now we present a video of a few minutes (in Romanian) summarizing what children and monitors have done, what they have experienced, what it has contributed to them and how much fun they have had.
Due to the success of that first project, there is already a second project underway dedicated to the creation of an Emergency Radio Network
.
The objective of this project is to offer children practical, theoretical and technical training with workshops held in 6 schools in Buzau county, using amateur radio and PMR, to support the local community
in specific actions for interventions and reducing the effects of disasters in emergency situations.
The project also aims to increase the level of empathy for vulnerable people who suffer the most in emergency situations and increase the degree of civic involvement of children.
We will keep reporting.
