World Radio Day 2025: Radio and Climate Change

As you know, 13 February is the day UNESCO devotes to Radio, with the aim to enhance this mass media, simple and low cost, specifically suited to reach remote communities and vulnerable people.

The motto of this year, "Radio and Climate Change", is especially significant for EURAO and radio amateurs, a subcategory within the Radio, who have the opportunity to carry around the world these values, all of them included in our "ham spirit".

World Radio Day 2025

Several members of EURAO organize special activities around this day:

From Spain the following stations on air: AO1WRD, AO2WRD, AO3WRD, AO4WRD, AO5WRD, AO6WRD, AO7WRD, AO8WRD and AO9WRD; from Friday 7 to Sunday 16.

Also other amateur radio stations from other countries will celebrate this day. Stay tuned and join this event. You're still on time.

20 years In a very short period of time, EURAO has managed to gather around itself many radio amateurs from all over the world in an exciting collective project that has received recognition from many international bodies.

Association, clubs, groups and individuals are part of this young, global and open ecosystem called European Radio Amateurs' Organization. Thanks to all for your support.

Happy birthday EURAO!!!

Relaunched magazine: Ham Radio Ireland - January 2025 nuevo

Ham Radio Ireland - January 2025 Ham Radio Ireland was the logical progression from what started as a Magazine covering the Province of Connacht (West of Ireland).

In point of fact this is the ONLY Independent Radio Magazine in Ireland geared towards the Radio Experimenters.

It repeats forthcoming events in its News Section right up to their date of operation. In this way the editors hope to encourage as many groups or clubs to take part.

The Magazine is not affiliated to any Group, Club or Society. This magazine is for all radio and electronics experimenters! It remains non political in all respects of the hobby.

Special thanks to the many who have supported this Magazine and encourages them to re-launch it. By popular demand no less!
