World Radio Day 2023: Radio and Peace

13 February is the day UNESCO devotes to Radio, with the aim to enhance this mass media, simple and low cost, specifically suited to reach remote communities and vul­ner­a­ble people.

The motto of this year, "Radio and Peace", is especially significant for EURAO and radio amateurs, a subcategory within the Radio, who have the opportunity to carry around the world these values, all of them included in our "ham spirit".

World Radio Day 2023

Several members of EURAO organize special activities around this day:

From Spain the following stations on air: AO1WRD, AO2WRD, AO3WRD, AO4WRD, AO5WRD, AO6WRD, AO7WRD, AO8WRD and AO9WRD; from Friday 10 to Monday 13.

Also other amateur radio stations from other countries will celebrate this day. Stay tuned and join this event. You're still on time.

AO#WRD: World Radio Day 2023 nuevo

WRD 2022 This year, the theme of the Day, February 13, is: "Radio and Peace". We need it!

As we are Radio too, we will celebrate again, but our own way, being on the air with the special callsigns: AO1WRD, AO2WRD, AO3WRD, AO4WRD, AO5WRD, AO6WRD, AO7WRD, AO8WRD and AO9WRD; during the weekend: from Friday 10 to Monday 13.

Radio Science 2.0: video with subtitles in English nuevo

Radio Science 2.0: video As we explained before, members of EURAO in Romania carried out several activities of amateur radio for children with the financial support of a local foundation in Buzau City: Fondul Stiintescu .

They produced an interesting video, starring children and monitors, summarizing those activities.

Now we have the pleasure to present this video with English subtitles for everyone's enjoyment.
